Pahū is a dynamic community percussion ensemble co-led by the prodigiously talented Tiipene Babbington and Dr. Riki Pirihi. The ensemble is dedicated to elevating the wairua (spirit) and mauri (life force) of both participants and audiences alike. Through high-energy, improvised percussion, Pahū weaves together rhythmic traditions from Ghanaian, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and Polynesian systems, creating a transcendent sonic experience that resonates as a cosmic celebration of rhythm and unity.
