Taking their name (and a fraction of the mood) from Vincent Ward’s “Vigil”, Fog play music inspired by the political sounds of original and contemporary anarcho, dosed with post-punk, gritty samples, and noise. “Absurdist Peace”, their 7″ record containing four of the tracks from last year’s EP “A Black Cloud That Swallowed The Dove”, was released at the arse-end of 2024 on antipodean punk labels R.I.P. Peace and Always Never Fun.
With members based out of three different towns at the lower end of Te Ika-a-Māui, it’s a miracle Fog are playing a handful of shows over summer following the release of their new record, including two shows with Deathro (Japan) in Whanganui and Lyttelton on either side of Newtown Festival.
