Emily de Vegt grew up between the mountain and the sea in Taranaki, where she taught piano and sang in bars until moving to Wellington in 2023. Combining classical tradition with modern whimsy, Emily writes playful folk-ish songs inspired by life and love as viewed through rose-tinted, slightly out-of-focus glasses. With a timeless voice and understated guitar accompaniment, Emily de Vegt is a little step out of the daily grind and into a softer moment.
