Dos-Ovni is a dark ambient post-rock duo based in Ahuriri Napier. Since their formation in 2021, they have been creating a haunting and immersive soundscape that captivates listeners.
Members Dee (she/her) and Liv (she/them) each bring over two decades of musical experience from various bands prior to joining forces. Their songwriting embraces a minimalist ethos, blending dark textures and haunting vocals drenched in reverb to shape their distinctive style.
In 2023, Dos-Ovni began collaborating with producer and engineer Nick Blow of Sister Lung Records. This partnership has enabled them to achieve a rich sound, showcasing their ability to transcend the limitations typically associated with two-piece bands.
After releasing several singles over the years, they are currently in the process of recording their debut album, promising an even deeper exploration of their evocative musical style.
